Dr Tejas Deshmukh is a general adult cardiologist, with an interest in interventional cardiology.
He completed his cardiology training at Westmead Hospital, being awarded Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. Recently, he has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in cardiac repair after heart attack with Prof James Chong at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research and University of Sydney. His PhD was supported by competitive prestigious scholarships from the National Health and Medical Research Council and National Heart Foundation. He has been recognised with the 2024 NSW Ministerial Award for PhD Rising Star in Cardiovascular Research. He has also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Bankstown Hospital.
Dr Deshmukh’s practice encompasses all aspects of adult cardiology, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, and preventive cardiology. He has a holistic and compassionate approach to patient care, and provides highly personalised, readily accessible medical consultations.
Outside of the clinic, Dr Deshmukh likes to explore Sydney’s food culture and spend time with his wife, son and cavoodle.
